In order to access this option visit any text or thread channel and type /, then select /setup. Then select from the dropdown 🎬 Enable or Disable /host Usage.
In certain instances, Discord Servers may wish to disable /host to instead opt for traditional text-based LFG over formatted embeds. Upon disabling users will be directed to utilize /link instead, which provides a Join Lobby and Steam friend link instead. Ultimately helping to maintain yet enhance the quality and flow our your existing LFG discussions.
This /setup option allows you to control whether to disable usage of /host in favor of using /link.
Tip: in order to avoid abuse, /setup can only be accessed by users and roles with the permissions of Administrator or Manage Channels.
Simply select your desired option to proceed!

Upon selecting 🎬 Enable or Disable /host Usage, you will be presented with choices:
This will stop users from being able to use /host, thus referring them to use /link instead. This feature is especially helpful with maintaining your existing format of LFG discussions all whilst adding the option for people to provide others with join and friend links. This does not have a required response, simply select it to take effect
Although we encourage /host usage, disabling it helps to maintain yet enhance the experience users are currently familiar with.
This will grant any user usage of /host, thus reenabling the ability for formatted embeds. This feature is especially helpful with improving the organization of current LFG channels by setting a format for all to follow. It also is a great way to enhance user customization of their posts through features such as attaching animated banners. This does not have a required response, simply select it to take effect.
Enabling /host usage does not restrict /link usage, as both commands will remain available for user choice!
