LFG Role Pings

Associate roles to be pinged on LFG Requests for games!

Usage

In order to access this option visit any text or thread channel and type /, then select /setup. Then select from the dropdown 💼 Assign Role Pings for LFG Requests.

A crucial aspect when managing LFG is a Discord Server is to have role available for users to choose, so they are notified when a post is made.

This /setup option allows you to automatically ping users on /host usage for certain games.

Tip: in order to avoid abuse, /setup can only be accessed by users and roles with the permissions of Administrator or Manage Channels.

Simply select your desired option to proceed!

Available Sub-Options

Upon selecting 💼 Assign Role Pings for LFG Requests, you will be presented with choices:

👥 Setup Role Pings

This will make new LFG Posts automatically ping desired roles if the game being LFG'ed for is assigned to said role.

Response Required: In order to specify which roles to ping, respond by typing in the same channel your role ID followed by a semi-colon and then each consecutive Steam Store URL separated by a comma. Repeat for multiple pairs, each separated by a single space or new line. (Ex: 904469396892823633;https://store.steampowered.com/app/281990/Stellaris/,https://store.steampowered.com/app/1151340/Fallout_76/,https://store.steampowered.com/app/107410/Arma_3/ <@&StellarisLFG>;https://store.steampowered.com/app/910490/Killsquad/,https://store.steampowered.com/app/1543030/Sword_and_Fairy_7/,https://store.steampowered.com/app/1335530/Alisa/)

Tip: to access role IDs, simply right click a role and select Copy ID, or type @ and select them from the list of roles.

You can alternatively not provide any URLs in order to allow a channel LFG for any game

❌ Remove Role Pings

This will remove all current Role Pings from new LFG Posts for all games, thus no roles will ever be pinged. on the creation of LFG Posts. Unlike the prior option, this does not have a required response, simply select it to take effect.

We recommend users to also utilize our /notify feature to be messaged of new posts outside their server.
