LFG Restrictions
Choose how to Restrict LFG on your Discord Server!
Usage
In order to access this option visit any text or thread channel and type /, then select /setup. Then select from the dropdown 🕹️ Change LFG Channel & Game Restrictions.
When running an LFG Discord Server, one of the crucial needs is to specify which games can be LFG'ed for and where. We have ensured to create an easy to use yet robust system to do just this.
This /setup option allows you to restrict /host usage to certain channels, games, or to even pair channels and games together. Alternatively we offer the option to allow everything anywhere!
Tip: in order to avoid abuse, /setup can only be accessed by users and roles with the permissions of Administrator or Manage Channels.
Available Sub-Options
Upon selecting 🕹️ Change LFG Channel & Game Restrictions, you will be presented with choices:
Allow /host usage for any game, however restrict its usage to certain channels.
Response Required: In order to specify channels, respond by typing in the same channel the IDs of your desired channels, each separated by a space. (Ex: 879885093777313803 879043216530345994 <#general>)
Allow /host usage in any channel, however restrict its usage to certain games.
Response Required: In order to specify games, respond by typing in the same channel the Steam Store URLs of your desired games, each separated by a space. (Ex: https://store.steampowered.com/app/281990/Stellaris/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/107410/Arma_3/)
Restrict /host usage to certain games in certain channels.
Response Required: In order to specify channels and games in pairs, respond by typing in the same channel the desired channel ID followed by a semi-colon and then each consecutive Steam Store URL separated by a comma. Repeat for multiple pairs, each separated by a single space or new line. (Ex: 879885093777313803;https://store.steampowered.com/app/281990/Stellaris/,https://store.steampowered.com/app/1151340/Fallout_76/,https://store.steampowered.com/app/107410/Arma_3/ <#general>;https://store.steampowered.com/app/910490/Killsquad/,https://store.steampowered.com/app/1543030/Sword_and_Fairy_7/,https://store.steampowered.com/app/1335530/Alisa/)
Allow /host usage for any game in any channel, removing all current restrictions. Unlike prior options, this does not have a required response, simply select it to take effect.
